What is the
difference between LeafFilter and other gutter protection?
The difference is our product works. Most other gutter protection products
are based on the same water surface tension principal that leaves a
big gap anywhere form ½" to 1-½" at the front
of the gutter. This type of product keeps most of the leaves out but
allows some leaves and small debris like seeds, twigs and dirt to enter,
which creates a sludge that can clog your gutters. Our product is a
stainless steel, self cleaning filter which won't allow anything larger
than 100 microns to enter (about the size of a head of a pin.) That
means no leaves, seeds, or even a shingle granule can enter your LeafFilter
protected gutter.
Do I need to buy new gutters?
No, LeafFilter is a gutter cover system and fits on most 5" and
6" gutters. Depending on the condition of your existing gutters,
you may want new gutters and we can do that too.
How does LeafFilter work?
LeafFilter has a unique intrinsic water siphoning action that actually
draws water in. LeafMaster may look like a simple design, contrarily,
much scientific formulating, designing, and testing went into creating
what we proudly say is; "The Best Gutter Protection Ever Invented."
Will water ever overflow the LeafFilter?
If a LeafFilter protected gutter overflows
it isn't due to clogs,
it is because the gutter and downspout are unable to channel the water
away as quickly as it is filling the gutter. You may see water stream
over LeafFilter in the following instances
~At inside corners of a gutter run when two or more roof surface areas
feed large volumes of rainwater runoff onto an inside corner of the
LeafFilter product.
~In an area where a second story downspout directs a large stream of
water onto a small area of LeafFilter installed on a first story gutter
that is positioned beneath the downspout stream. In both instances we
have methods of installation that minimize or eliminate these problems.
How will snow and ice affect LeafFilter?
LeafFilter sits on top of the gutters and the water on the stainless
steel mesh freezes, minimizing ice build up in the gutter. LeafFilter
does not cause nor prevent ice damming on the roof. For more information
on Ice Dams, visit the MN
Department of Commerce and download a free Ice Dam energy guide
or call the Energy Information Center at 651-296-5175.
How is LeafFilter installed?
LeafFilter sits on top of the gutter system and fastens to the hidden
fascia hangers.
How much does LeafFilter cost?
The cost varies depending on the degree of difficulty like number of
stories, the pitch of the roof and number of miters etc.. We have received
feedback from several customers that have investigated many gutter protection
products and their findings have proved LeafFilter to be far less than
most and copetitive with others. Price quotes are free!
How long will LeafFilter last?
LeafFilter is warranted to last as long as the gutter system it's installed
on.
Does LeafFilter have a Warranty?
LeafFilter comes with a Lifetime (the lifetime of the gutter it is installed
on) Transferable Warranty as long as installed by an Approved LeafFilter
Dealer/Installer.
Can I buy the product from you and install
it myself?
Yes, however; there is no warranty coverage unless installed by an Approved
LeafFilter Dealer/Installer. Prices for product can be obtained by calling
our office at 763-323-7400.
